I'm a 34-year old redhead. Divorced, a mother of one son, Henry, who is six and a half, and have been the singer of Sixpence None the Richer for almost 20 years. It is an interesting view from where I sit. Interesting is maybe putting it a bit mildly. I was married at 19 and stayed that way for 10 years. Good grief - I never wanted to be divorced - didn't think we had it in us, but here we are. We are a very high-functioning parental unit though. And he remains one of my very best friends.
Our son, in my opinion, which is not at all biased, is the most spectacular creature ever created. He just finished kindergarten and for Mother's Day they made pictures of their Moms using construction paper and foil and whatnot. As a part of the package they also answered questions about their mother's likes and dislikes in their own words (no help with spelling).

The questions were things like "What's your Mom's favorite color?" "favorite movie" etc....the it asked "what does she do for a living?" to which he replied: "she is a sinnr." I gave out a restrained laugh so I wouldn't hurt his feelings and kept reading. Then the question came - "What does your mom do for fun?" his answer : "she sins". Out of the mouths of babes, right? Wow.
