ACTING BLOG: HOW TO BECOME AN ACTOR

~ from the experiences of actress Jenn Gotzon ~

This is my first blog ever, yay! :) ... After many years of acting conservatory training, I worked at Google in Silicon Valley as a 'day job' to support my acting dreams. Fun inside blogging story: While I was at Google, before they went public and had less than 1500 employees, they acquired a ground-breaking blogging company called 'Blogger' and those cool guys set me up with one of the first beta blogger accounts before going public (and gave me a t-shirt - literally), though sadly to say, I never actually blogged :(... until now and I thank you Mark Joseph for setting me up on this site (and a super huge thank you for casting me as Laura Reaper opposite John Schneider in the upcoming romance mystery-thriller 'DOONBY' written-directed by Peter Mackenzie & produced by Mike Mackenzie!!!)
... get the inside scoop & invited to see Doonby by joining us on facebook: http://www.facebook.com/doonbythemovie

Acting Blog: How To Become An Actor

I'll be blogging from my experiences on an area that many friends have asked me:
'I want to be a successful actor, how do I find acting classes, get an acting job, begin an acting career? and most commonly how do i become an actor?'

Along this blogging journey, look out for my acting experience examples on 'Doonby' and Oscar-nominated 'Frost/Nixon' (I had the honor of portraying President Nixon's first daughter Tricia Nixon and was directed by Ron Howard, double-yay! :)

This first entry is to get this ACTING BLOG: HOW TO BECOME AN ACTOR

rolling. My desire with this acting blog is to really help and inspire aspiring actors. Below is a brainstorm of ideas, though I'd like to blog about what would really help you. This acting blog can almost be looked as an online acting training guide... a free acting class, triple-yay! :) I hope to have my favorite acting teachers, casting directors, producers, directors, publicists, agents, managers  and industry friends write a few blogs, too.

Please ask your questions about acting, on my facebook fanpage (under discussions): http://www.facebook.com/jenngotzon.fanpage
