Brian Quincy Newcomb (Quincy to his friends) began his career as a rock critic in 1980 for a small but influential fanzine, The Progressive Pacer, and since then has been a regular contributor to a variety of publications including Billboard Magazine,The RiverFront Times, The St. Louis Post-Dispatch, HM, and Spotlight. For 8 years he served as editor of Harvest Rock Syndicate. He lives in Ohio.
